Jason

What changes have you seen?

Jason: My strength and energy levels have greatly improved since starting back. I was around 215 pounds when I started back. Initially, I was losing weight and bottomed out around 204 pounds but have begun to put muscle back on so I'm back up around 210. My muscles are bigger and my waste is smaller. What else could I ask for?

Nick and Ruby

Take us back to your first day of CrossFit. How did you feel?

Nick: How do you compare it to workouts today? I went through an on-ramp program and at the end we did Fran and nearly fell apart. It was intense. Ruby: Helen, first rush and a sense of accomplishment.

Lori

What is your sporting or fitness background?

Lori: I went to a high school with 41 other girls in my class so we didn't have competitive sports. I ran cross country and always came in last place and later played soccer. I was better at handbell choir.

Molly

What is your sporting or fitness background?

Molly: LOL, um well striking out on the T in T-ball as a kindergartener pretty much set the tone to my athletic abilities. I wasn't particularly good at sports growing up, so I didn't apply myself to that. It wasn't until later as an adult, did the importance of staying healthy become so evident. Once I blended staying active with my love for being outdoors I became successful in many activities such as snowboarding, backpacking, yoga, and running.

Least favorite WOD?

Jason: Karen. Michelle: The WODs with ten tough rounds break me down mentally, and make me thankful for my coaches that make me face them and finish them.

Janna

Take us back to your first day of CrossFit. How did you feel?

Janna: Humbling. Couldn't believe how out of shape I was. I couldn't get on or off the toilet properly for a week. Compared to workouts today? Night & day different. Back then I had horrible coaching & the WOD's were all about absolutely destroying the athlete. Today I am blessed with the best coaching that I could ask for. Each WOD today is another building block towards the goal.

Jen

What is your sporting or fitness background?

Jen: I have always been competitive in sports throughout school being field hockey, basketball, softball. As an adult I took up running to try and have some control in a tough time of life. Realized I loved the "high" that I got from a good 20 miler and was hooked.

Jessie

What changes have you seen?

Jessie: Overall strength! I thought I was strong when I started but I feel like I am stronger, more stable, and more focused on my form than ever before. Mentally, I have become more confident and a lot less self conscious. And just as significant as personal growth, the friendships I've gained at Thrice are priceless!
